Time to Grow UP
This morning we look at the pastoral advice to a specific congregation as given by the Apostle Paul. He had been in Ephesus for three years, and in his departure speech he warns the elders to keep watch as shepherds over the flock that has been purchased by the blood of Christ. What he warned them must have come to fruition, as he writes a letter to them wherein, he bemoans the fact that they are like infants, “being tossed back and forth by the waves and blown here and there by every wind of teaching…(Ephesians 4:14). The evangelical church seems to be in a similar throe these days. What can the church do to escape the spirit of the age? That is what we will be talking about today.
