The Transforming Power of Jesus
This morning we go back into our series on the book of Acts. As Peter and John head into the temple to pray, they are met by a beggar who is the picture of one who is helpless, hopeless, and considered worthless. As he asks for money, he is given so much more. What he received is something that only the church of Christ today has to offer: the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Do we see ourselves as but another social agency alongside many other agencies; or as the community created to offer what no one else can?
