The Impossible Made Possible (turn volume up)

Preacher:
Passage: Mark 10:23-31

As we continue our walk with Jesus through the gospel of Mark, we listen in on a conversation between Jesus and his disciples following the sad departure of the rich and young synagogue ruler. The ruler left sad because Jesus insisted that he get rid of the one idol he was holding onto before he followed the Lord. With master precision, the Great Physician placed his finger on the disease. The man chose the temporary wealth of this life over the eternal riches of heaven. In the conversation with the disciples, Jesus seems to indicate that the conclusion of the previous meeting was a foregone conclusion. Will the rich person choose his own wealth every time over following Jesus? If not, what is preventing him from doing so?
