As we continue in our series in the book of Acts and more specifically on the day of Pentecost, we discover the first Christian sermon.  In a day and age where preaching is getting shoved aside by music, liturgies, and home discussion groups, perhaps we need to be reminded of its centrality in God’s ways and means of salvation: “how then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?  And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?  And how can they hear without someone preaching to them (Romans 10:14)?”
