As we move on in the book of Acts, we come to a major event in the history of God’s redemption: The pouring out of His Holy Spirit.  Prior to this time the Holy Spirit would make the occasional appearance on earth to empower an individual for certain tasks; now the Holy Spirit comes to earth to dwell with and in God’s people permanently.  Hear the apostle Paul’s word with wonder and awe: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy  Spirit, who is in you, whom you received from God? (I Corinthians 6:19).
