As we continue looking at John’s gospel’s account of the passion of Jesus, this morning we turn to the crucifixion itself. John, and all the other gospel writers as well, spend very few words describing the actual deed of crucifixion or Christ’s response to the horrendous physical pain he must have experienced as a result. Why do you think that is? That’s one of the issues we will be considering this morning.
